Specialized in air transportable operations, 12ª Brigade of Light Infantry is commanded by the Brigadier general Carlos Cesar Araújo Rasp, and possesss the following subordinated units:
4º Battalion of Light Infantry (SP);
5º Battalion of Light Infantry (SP);
6º Battalion of Light Infantry (SP);
20º Group of Artillery of Campanha Light (SP);
22º Batalhão Logístico Light (SP);
12ª Company of Engineering of Combate Light (SP);
5ª Battery of Artilharia Antiaérea Light (SP);
12ª Company of Comunicações Light (SP),
12º Squad of Policy of Army (SP), and,
1º Squadron of Light Cavalry (Rio De Janeiro).
