Bomber crashes in central Russia
Fri, 19 Dec 2008 13:39:34 GMT - An SU-24 bomber jet has crashed in central parts of Russia resulting in no casualties, a spokesman for the country's Air Force says. Two pilots aboard the aircraft had ejected before the crash, Reuters quoted the official as saying on Friday. The cause of the incident, which happened near the town of Voronezh, has yet to be determined. Earlier in the month a MiG-29 fighter jet went down in Siberia killing the aircraft's pilot. The recurrence of such incidents has cast doubts over the reliability of the Russian military hardware and vehicles. HN/MMN
