Missile strike kills eight in North Waziristan

January 23, 2009 -- Peshawar -- A suspected US missile strike in North Waziristan Agency has left at least eight people dead on Friday. Official sources and eyewitnesses in Mir Ali North Waziristan said a missile apparently fired from US drone struck the house of one Khalil Dawar at village Kharkai in Mir Ali Tehsil around 5:12 pm and destroyed it completely.
Resultantly, the sources said that eight persons were killed in the attack. The identity of victims could not be immediately ascertained.
Soon after the incident, the sources said the militants besieged the house and retrieved the bodies. (app.com.pk)
